Believe it or not, the path leading to the creation of The GutterBrush was one that came about by accident. For more than 25 years the founder of GutterBrush "Bob" has enjoyed peaceful weekend getaways with his family at their cabin retreat nestled in the Allegheny National Forest in Western Pennsylvania.

One frequent chore that took away from the weekend rest and relaxation, however, was keeping the cabin's gutters free and clear of the many leaves, twigs, pine needles, acorns, maple seeds and other natural debris cast down from the thick overhead canopy of trees. o­ne spring day while preparing to clean the gutters, Bob came across a long twisted brush, tucked away in a musty storage area. Upon inspection, it appeared as if this strange old brush might just be a useful tool to assist in the regular task of gutter cleaning.

As a stroke of luck, during the cleaning process, the old brush was accidentally left in the gutter where it remained until the next cabin visit over 1 year later. As usual, gutter cleaning was high o­n the "To Do List" and the gutters were loaded with leaves, acorns, pine needles, etc. except for a small area where the old brush still rested, which was remarkably clear from debris! As the saying goes... An idea was born!

Over the next years, Bob and his partners occasionally discussed this idea for a large brush that could be placed inside gutters to protect against debris. After numerous trials and design considerations they developed a product known today as "The GutterBrush." The result from this accidental discovery is turning out to be the most effective, simple, affordable, solution to the age-old problem of keeping gutters clog free and flowing.
